Fundraising for Children Hospice

And you won’t even need a Spandex suit or Batmobile; only a smile is highly encouraged!

The hospice

The Małopolska Children’s Hospice was set up by passionate people whose goal was to help terminally ill children whenever and wherever it may be needed. It has been operating since 2006 and has offered enormous support, including medical, psychotherapeutic, and nursing care from the very beginning. Not only can children find help there, but also families who struggle with organizing their lives around the illness may count on professional support. They can find psychological, legal, and social assistance from certified specialists, clergymen, and volunteers. So many heroes there… 🦸 And they would much appreciate our help as well. 

The hospice, with Ms. Emilia Syjud in the lead, organizes the St. Nicola annual collection of money and gifts. They want to make sure that Santa will be able to visit all the good children and that the staff has enough equipment to take the best care of little patients. What do they need? Things like clothes for children, towels, bedsheets, bedclothes, toys, school supplies, cosmetics, tubes of toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers, washing powder, cleaning supplies, sweets, products with a long shelf life, fruit juice, etc.  You can find the whole list of wishes in the poster below. 

Xfive community rushes to help 

“We operate globally but stay rooted in our communities.”; this is one of our mission statements, and we take it seriously. Our office is located in the heart of Cracow, and we wanted to support our local community somehow. That’s why raising money for the Cracow’s Hospice became our annual tradition.

Every year, at the turn of November and December, we organize fundraising among our employees to gather as much money as possible. Xfive doubles the amount of money raised, and we commit the funds to buy the essential equipment and gifts for the kids. 😁

Our donations are spent on precisely specified needs provided by Ms. Emilia. Last year, we managed to  buy the following things:

• Diapers and wet wipes, 
• Thermometers, 
• Inhalers, 
• Glucometer,
• Cosmetics,
• Washing powder,
• Toothbrushes,
• Toys and board games,
• Clothes,
• Baby food jars

You also can be a hero

The whole activity is not only simple fundraising but also it also involves mutual cooperation of many departments from our company. We order, pack, and deliver the presents on our own; plus, we add a kind of personal touch to the packages, the balloons that make kids smile. 🎈😀
